Mike McCown, TorsionX president, has traveled on several trade missions organized by the state of West Virginia Development Office (WVDO). They are part of the West Virginia Department of Commerce.
Recently, a contact made through the WVDO was instrumental in finding a new distributor for TorsionX tools in South Korea. Mike met Jessica Son on a trade delegation to South Korea. Through the WVDO and the US Commercial Service in South Korea, Mike worked with Jessica to identify potential distributors for our hydraulic tools. One group proved to be a perfect fit and they have already placed an order and are selling TorsionX tools in their market.
In an email to the WVDO, Mike said “I want to thank you again for all of the work and effort that you put in to help me. I cannot tell you how pleased I am with the outcome of the meetings that I had and the future with these companies is going to be bright. Just to let you know, my Korean friends sent me their first order yesterday. They are a class operation. Thanks for your help.”
Recently, on a reciprocal visit, Jessica was able to visit TorsionX headquarters to see our manufacturing process and get a better understanding of the equipment we make.
We’re excited to have a new distributor in South Korea. We’re also very appreciative of the efforts of great people like Jessica Son and the happy to work with the great people from the West Virginia Development Office.
